Calis Nguyễn Named Landmark Conference Senior Scholar Athlete

TOWSON, Md. - Each year the Landmark Conference recognizes and selects 23 senior scholar-athletes. This recognizes one student in each sport while considering their academic and athletic accomplishments.

Calis Nguyen has been selected as the Landmark 2024-25 Men's Tennis Senior Scholar Athletes, becoming the fifth Gopher to recieve this honor.

On the courts, Nguyen has been a member of one of the most successful eras of Goucher Men's Tennis. Earning three Landmark Conference Championships. During his time, he earned four All-Conference Recognitions. In this season, Nguyen went 15-7 in the No. 4 singles spot, while adding two doubles wins.

Maintaining a 3.72 GPA as a double major in Economics and Data Science, Nguyen was also named to the Landmark All-Academic Team in 2023-24. As a member of the team, Nguyen served as team captain, and provided a strong sense of leadership during a period of transition for the program, while maintaining a high level of play.
