Renahan, Scipione Break Weight Throw, Mile Records
SELINSGROVE, Pa. Mark Renehan (Finksburg, Md./Westminster) and Adam Scipione (Walpole, Mass./Walpole) broke indoor school records in the weight throw and mile run, respectively, while represeting Goucher at today's Susquehanna Indoor Invitational.
Litz Finishes as Co-Runnerup in Pole Vault by Clearing 13-5.25
SELINSGROVE, Pa. — Mark Renehan (Finksburg,
Md./Westminster) and Adam Scipione (Walpole,
Mass./Walpole) broke indoor school records in the weight
throw and mile run, respectively, while represeting Goucher at
today's Susquehanna Indoor Invitational.
Renahan's effort of 37-feet, 5.75-inches, which landed him in 13th place overall, eclipsed Ray Burstein's record of 36-feet, 7-inches which had stood for nearly three years. Scipione placed 26th in the mile with his time of 4:48.80, which is 19-hundredths of a second faster than the school record he established at this event in 2008.
Chris Litz (Bel Air, Md./John Carroll) turned in the highest finish by any Goucher athlete by ending up in a tie for second place in the pole vault at 13-feet, 5.25-inches.
Will Evans (Baltimore, Md./Overlea) placed eighth in the 55-meter dash and Scott Wenzler (Larchmont, N.Y./Mamaroneck) occupied the No. 8 position in the final results from the long jump competition, plus both of them were part of a four-way tie for eighth place in the high jump competition. Evans completed the 55-meter dash in :06.93, Wenzler's distance in the long jump was 20-feet, 2.25-inches and both of them went 5-feet, 7-inches in the high jump.
