TOWSON, Md. — Goucher produced the Landmark Conference's Track Athlete of the Week for men's indoor track and field for the seven-day period which ended Sunday. The weekly honor, according to an official announcement issued by the conference this afternoon, was bestowed upon freshman Miles Taylor (Bowie, Md./Wakefield).
While competing at the Dickinson Early Bird Invitational on Saturday, Taylor recorded the two fastest times in the 55-meter hurdles in the history of the institution's men's indoor track and field program. During the preliminaries, he broke a school record that had stood since 2008 when he completed the event in 8.54 seconds. In the finals, he lowered his time to :08.42, which was good for second place.
Taylor also took eighth place in the 400-meter run (:59.04).
