Taylor Breaks 14-Year-Old Record For 60-Meter Hurdles

FAIRFAX, Va. — Goucher's Miles Taylor (Bowie, Md./Wakefield) broke a school record that stood for more than 14 years while competing at the Patriot Games today.

The freshman took down a record established by Greg Rabus back in 2002 (:09.26) when he was clocked at 9.05 seconds during the 60-meter hurdle trials. In the semifinals, he turned in a time of :09.15, good for 10th place overall.

Taylor also posted a time of :24.10 in the 200-meter dash to finish in 17th place overall, but sixth among Division III competitors.

The Gophers did not score a point in today's meet.

Goucher's countdown to the 2016 Landmark Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships on February 27 continues one week from today when the Gophers compete at Dickinson's DuCharme Invitational.
