Scipione Breaks School Record, Places Fifth in 3,000 Meters

Goucher's Entry in 4 x 100-Meter Relay Finishes in Third Place

HUNTINGDON, Pa. — Goucher's Adam Scipione (Walpole, Mass./Walpole) set a new outdoor school record in the 3,000-meter run today at the Juniata Invitational.

The senior completed the event in 9:30.64, good for fifth place overall. He lowered the school record previously held by Zach Martin of 9:39.20 by more than 8.5 seconds.

Goucher's entry in the 4 x 100-meter relay consisting of Brian Gautier (Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat Twp.), Doug Falk (Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat Twp.), Chris Litz (Bel Air, Md./John Carroll) and Will Evans III (Baltimore, Md./Overlea) placed third with its time of :45.46.

Gautier finished in a tie for fourth place with Ben Wilson from Susquehanna in the 400-meter dash (:52.47).
