GRANTHAM, Pa. — Goucher produced the runner-up in two events at the Messiah Invitational today.
Joey Negreann (Denver, Colo./Cherry Creek) was the top collegiate entrant, but placed second overall in the 5,000-meter run. The senior was clocked at 15:46.59.
Doug Falk (Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat Twp.) cleared 5'10" to finish in second place in the high jump.
Lovell Kosh (Chester, Pa./Christiana) became only the second individual in the history of Goucher's men's outdoor track and field program to surpass 40' in the shot put when his best effort today was measured at 40'2 3/4", good for eighth place.
With a total of 22 points, the Gophers wound up tied with Hagerstown Community College for seventh place in the final team scoring.
