Jennings Records Ninth Place Showing in 1,500 Meters

The top eight finishers in each event received points at the meet. Isaac Jennings (Narberth, Pa./Harriton) came closest to scoring for the Gophers, placing ninth out of 35 runners in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:18.07 that was less than two seconds behind his personal best showing of 4:16.60.
Mark Egan (Baltimore, Md./Calvert Hall), also competing in the 1,500, placed 17th after completing the race in 4:21.40.
Zachary Byrum (Stafford, Va./Brooke Point) registered the other top 20 finishes for Goucher in the 200 and 400 meter dashes. He posted a 35.94 in the 400, finishing 0.31 behind his personal best and earning an 18th place finish overall. Byrum's time of 24.15 in the 200, a new personal best, was good enough for 20th place.
The Gophers return to action next Saturday at the Mason-Dixon Invitational in Gettysburg, Pa.
