Gophers Finish Seventh at Landmark Championships

Six of those points came from its two relay teams, while the other two were a result of a seventh-place finish for Elton Kativhu (Harare, Zimbabwe/St. Ignatius College) in the 100 meter dash finals. Kativhu crossed the line in 11.63, finishing 0.51 seconds behind Moravian's Matt Barnett.
The Gophers placed fifth in the 4 x 400 meter relay, with Zachary Byrum (Stafford, Va./Brooke Point), Kativhu, Eli Schwartz (Berkeley, Calif./Berkeley) and Liam Lanahan (Corvallis, Ore./Crescent Valley) completing the race in 3:39.15. Goucher's 4 x 100 relay squad of Byrum, Christian Ribeiro (Silver Spring, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase), Kativhu and Schwartz, meanwhile, took seventh place with a time of 47.04.
Competing in the hammer throw, Ribeiro finished 16th with a personal-best toss of 24.17 meters (79'3").
Moravian ended the event in first place for the seventh time in eight seasons, totaling 294 points. Host Susquehanna followed in second with 268 points. Goucher ended the meet in seventh place overall.
