Gophers Turn in Strong Performances at Salisbury
SALISBURY, MD- The Goucher Gophers traveled to Salisbury University to compete in the Lloyd Sigler Spring Invitational.
Jayden Keels led the Gophers with a third-place finish in the 1500 meters, crossing the line in 4:13.77. Keels also recorded a top-four finish in the 800 meters with a time of 2:04.14. Joel Lukoo joined Keels in the 800 meters, earning a top-12 finish with a time of 2:08.41, while Dawson Burnett-Paul also competed in the event and finished in 2:31.29. The Gophers had multiple entries in the 100-meter dash, led by Lukoo with a time of 12.30. Antoine Padonou followed with a time of 12.77, and Willie Lamb rounded out the Goucher runners with a time of 12.83. Two Gophers competed in the 400-meter hurdles, with Lamb placing fifth in 1:00.26. Padonou followed in sixth place with a personal-best time of 1:02.49.
The Gophers will return to action on Thursday, March 19, at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational.
