Gophers Break 4x800 School Record
MYRTLE BEACH, SC- The Goucher College Gophers continued their campaign at the Alan Shamrock Invitational on day two.
The men's 4x800-meter team led the charge for the Gophers on the track , setting the school record with a time of 8:17.59. The team of Jair Smith, Willie Lamb, Joel Lukoo, and Jayden Keels placed sixth with a time of 8:17.59.
In field events, Antoine Padonou made his javelin debut, recording a throw of 20.56 meters.
On the track, the Gophers posted multiple personal-best performances. Padonou added to his strong day with a PR time of 2:17.89 in the 800 meters. Lukoo also recorded a personal best, running 11.63 in the 100-meter prelims.
Goucher will return to action for day three on Saturday, March 21.
