Keels Leads Gophers on Final Day at Shamrock Invitational
MYRTLE BEACH, SC- The Goucher College Gophers competed in the final day of the Alan Shamrock Invitational on Saturday.
In the running events, Jayden Keels earned an eighth-place finish in the 3000-meter with a personal-best time of 8:59.61. Willie Lamb also recorded a personal best, posting a time of 59.66 in the 100-meter hurdles. In the 800-meter run, Jair Smith finished with a top-25 time of 2:01.45. Dawson Burnett-Paul made his 3000-meter steeplechase debut, recording a time of 12:38.45. Goucher rounded out the competition in the 4x400-meter relay, as the team of Smith, Lamb, Joel Lukoo, and Antoine Padonou earned a top-16 finish with a personal record time of 3:31.60
The Gophers return to action on Saturday, April 11, as they travel to compete in the Delaware State Invitational.
