Goucher Men Wrap Up Morgan State Legacy Meet
BALTIMORE, MD- The Goucher College Men's Track and Field team traveled to Morgan State University to compete in day two of the Legacy Meet at Morgan State University.
On the track, Antoine Padonou kicked off the day in the 400-meter hurdles, running a time of 1:02.99. Padonou made another appearance in the 110-meter hurdles, recording a season-best time of 17.36. Jair Smith led the Gophers in the 800 meters with a personal-best time of 1:55.08, earning an 11th-place finish. Jayden Keels followed in the event, running a season-best time of 1:56.91 for a top-15 finish. Willie Lamb rounded out the 800-meter group with a personal-best time of 1:59.64. Dawson Burnett-Paul recorded a personal-best time of 18:09.59 in the 5000 meters, earning a 10th-place finish. The men's 4x400-meter relay team finished in ninth place, as Lamb, Smith, Keels, and Padonou combined for a time of 3:37.57.
In the field events, Mark Martin competed in the long jump with a distance of 6.31 meters, earning a top-15 finish. Martin also recorded a season-best jump of 12.93 meters in the triple jump. Padonou competed in the discus, recording a throw of 16.77 meters. He also threw the shot put with a distance of 7.33 meters.
The Gophers return to action Friday, April 24, at the Carpenter-Case Invite.
