Gophers Set the Pace on Opening Day of Landmark Outdoor Championships
HUNTINGDON, PA- The Goucher College Gophers Men's Track & Field team traveled to Juniata College to compete in day one of the Landmark Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
In the field events, Mark Martin kicked off the meet for the Gophers by earning a fourth-place finish in the long jump with a distance of 6.37 meters.
On the track, Antoine Padonou ran a season-best time of 17.34 in the 110-meter hurdles, landing a top-12 finish in the prelims. Jayden Keels competed in the 1500 meters, finishing in the top 18 with a time of 4:14.83. Rounding out the day for Goucher, Dawson Burnett-Paul ran the 10,000 meters in 40:34.40.
The Gophers will return to action tomorrow, May 3rd, for the second day of the Landmark Outdoor Championships, beginning at 11 a.m.
