Gopher Swimming Honored for Academic Excellence by CSCAA
PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. - The Goucher College men's and women's swimming teams were honored by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as both were named to the Spring, 2024 CSCAA Scholar All-America Team announced Monday afternoon. The Gophers were two of 722 teams honored across all levels of collegiate swimming.
The Landmark Conference was also honored as a Scholar All-America Conference on both the men's and women's sides.
In order to be eligible for the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, a team must compile a 3.0 team GPA for the semester.
Goucher's women's team compiled a 3.59 team GPA for the spring, 2024 semester. The Gopher women were honored for the 15th consecutive semester.
The Gopher men's team posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.08 in the spring. Goucher men's team was honored for the fourth semester in a row.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
