Five Swimmers Earn CSC Academic All-District
TOWSON, Md. - Five athletes of the Goucher College men's and women's swim team were named to the 2024-2025 Academic All-Disctrict Swimming and Diving Teams, selected by the College Sports Communictors on Tuesday.
In order for these athletes to be eligible, they must have participated in a majority of events or placed in the top eight at Conference Championships and have at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The only member of the men's swim team was junior, Christian Houck. Houck is a double major in Political Science and Psychology from Belair, Maryland.
The remaining team was made of senior swimmers. This included, Olivia Reichardt, an International Relations and Political Science major from Monument, Colorado. Ella Robinson who is majoring in Literary Studies with a minor in Secondary Education from Canajoharie, New York. Robinson was also selected for CSC Academic All-District last year.
Molly Smith, a tri-sport athlete at Goucher from Damascus, Maryland who is majoring in Economics with a minor in Music earned this in her first year on the team. Emily Strickland from Seattle, Washington is the final athlete selected. Strickland is a majoring in Literary Studies while minoring in Secondary Education and Creative Writing.
