Senior Spotlight: Track And Field Mia Taylor

Ladies and gentlemen, with today's Senior Spotlight we would like to thank a track and field athlete for her hard work and dedication to Goucher College and the track and field program for the last five years! This senior hails from Bowie, Maryland who has competed in 18 indoor track meets and 15 outdoor meets in her career. This senior finished third in the 110m hurdles at the Landmark Conference Outdoor Championships and placed fourth in the 60m hurdles during the indoor conference championships. This season, this senior duplicated the freshman performance with a fourth-place standing in the 60m hurdles at the conference indoor meet. Parents are Lynn and Gregory and majoring in women and gender studies. Ladies and gentlemen, Mia Taylor.

  2019-20
 
  • Ran in one competition, but did not compete in the outdoor season due to COVID-19
  • Finished fourth in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.68 at the Landmark Conference Championships on February 29
   2018-19
 
  • Participated in five indoor meets and seven during the outdoor season
  • Placed fifth in the 110m hurdles with a time of 19.13 at the Gallaudet Invitational on April 20
  • Posted a personal-best time of 12.17 in the 100m dash at the Landmark Conference Championships on May 4-5
  2017-18
 
  • Did not compete during the 2017-18 campaign
  2016-17
 
  • Competed in six indoor meets and two outdoor meets
  • Finished sixth in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.40 at the Landmark Conference Championships on February 25
  • Placed third with a personal-best time of 8.36 in the 55m hurdles at the DuCharme Invitational on February 11
  2015-16
 
  • Participated in six meets each during both the indoor and outdoor campaigns
  • Earned the bronze medal in the 110m hurdles with a personal-best time of 15.93 at the Landmark Conference Championships on May 7-8
  • Finished fourth in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.03 at the Landmark Conference Championships on February 27
  • Made collegiate debut at the Bow-Tie Classic on December 5 participating in four events
