Tee Bakare Named Landmark Women's Track Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. - Sophomore Tee Bakare, a sophomore on the Goucher College women's track and field team, was named the Landmark Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.

Bakare, making her collegiate indoor track debut, took first place in both of her events at the season-opening DuCharme Invitational hosted by Dickinson College.  Bakare won the 55-meter dash in a time of 7.51 seconds after running second in the preliminaries with a 7.59-second effort.  In the 200, Bakare posted a time of 26.90 seconds to take first overall.  She helped the Gophers to an overall third-place finish in the event.

The Goucher College track and field teams are idle until Friday, January 14 when they travel to the Lebanon Valley Invitational.
