Carter Hinton-Ayodele Named Landmark Field Performer of the Meet, Rookie of the Meet
TOWSON, Md. - First year Carter Hinton-Ayodele (Bowie, Md./Bowie), a member of the Goucher College women's indoor track and field team, was announced Monday afternoon as the Landmark Conference Field Performer of the Meet and Rookie of the Meet following the 2022 Landmark Indoor Track and Field Championship held on Saturday.
Hinton-Ayodele was also named First Team All-Conference in the long jump and triple jump. Teammate Tee Bakare (Silver Spring, Md./Archbishop Carroll) was named Second Team All-Conference in the 60-meter dash.
Hinton-Ayodele took first place in both the triple jump and long jump with program-record efforts. In the triple jump, Hinton-Ayodele posted a Championship-record mark of 11.84 meters to break their own school record. That mark currently stands as the No. 10 mark nationally. In the long jump, Hinton-Ayodele registered a mark of 5.33 meters.
Hinton-Ayodele is the first Goucher women's indoor track and field athlete to earn Performer of the Meet and the second Gopher to claim Rookie of the Meet and the first since 2012.
Bakare claimed her first All-Conference honor by finishing second in the 60-meter dash. She posted a personal-best time of 8.01 seconds.
Goucher finished sixth at the 2022 Landmark Conference Women's Indoor Track and Field Championship.
