Nancy Nyadongo Named Landmark Women's Track Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. - First year Nancy Nyadongo of the Goucher College women's track and field team was named the Landmark Conference Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Nyadongo set a pair of school records and was also part of a record-setting relay for the Gophers as they opened the season at the TCNJ Indoor Open at the New York City Armory.  She set a school record in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.73 seconds, and also set the 400-meter indoor record at 58.34 seconds, taking first overall.

Nyadongo was also part of the record-setting 4x400 meter relay that took second with a time of 4:02.84.

Naydongo's 60 and 400 times are currently both first in the Landmark Conference.  Her 60-meter time sits No. 11 in Division III, while her 400-meter time is No. 14 nationally.  The Gophers' 4x400 mark is also No. 1 in the conference and is No. 11 nationally.
