New School Records for Tanise Thornton-Fillyaw and Nancy Nyadongo

Boston, Ma.- Two athletes went to the David Hemery Valentine Invitational this weekend at Boston College. Both had outstanding performances breaking two school records. Tanise Thornton-Fillyaw broke her own school record in the indoor one mile. The junior from Adelphi, Maryland holds the indoor school records in the 600, 800, and 1000. In 2023 she set the record with a time of 5.19.27. This weekend she beat that record with a time of 5.06.23. Tanise was not the only school record broken this weekend. Nancy Nyadongo broke the record for indoor 200 meter with a time of 25.21. She beat the previous time of 26.76 that was set in 2022. The freshman from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe has had a great start this season.
