USTFCCCA Names Regional Outdoor Award Winners
New Orleans- The USTFCCCA named their DIII Outdoor Track and Field Regional Awards. Aryanna Paulena was named the women's Field Athlete of the Year. The freshman from Greenacres Florida had a standout season. This honor comes after her second-place finish at the NCAA DIII Outdoor Championships. The personal record vault of 4.0 meters earned her the title of All-American. She was also named the Indoor Field Athlete of the Year in the Landmark Conference earlier this year. Paulena has broken the school record in the pole vault for indoor and outdoor this season. During the Landmark Outdoor Championship, she scored 22 points with winning the pole vault and strong third place finishes in her other events.
Coach Erik Camodeca was named the women's Coach of the Year. This comes after the Gophers 17th place finish in the NCAA DIII Outdoor Championship. Coach just completed his fifth-year coaching at Goucher. He has had two All-Americans this season. The Goucher alum has coached a team that broke 26 school records this season between in and outdoor season.
