Matt Riggins
Bio

Matt Riggins is in his first year as assistant coach under Erick Camodeca’s staff.

Riggins, a Bel Air, Maryland native, was a several time conference and regional champion at his high school, C. Milton Wright High School. He gained the records for the 55m, 100m, and 4x100 before he graduated in 2015.

Riggins then went on to Stevenson University, where he was under the direction of Coach Camodeca and teammate with fellow assistant coach, JT Klopcic. In Riggins’ time at Stevenson, he member of the 2018 Indoor and Outdoor Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championship teams and the 2018 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Indoor Champions. He also achieved the U.S. Track & Field & Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) 2018 NCAA Division III All-Mideast Region Honoree and Academic All-MAC honors. He currently holds Stevenson’s records in the 55m, 4x100, and 4x400. Riggins was also a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Riggins graduated from Stevenson in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He has completed his USA Track & Field (USATF) Level 1 Certification. In addition to his position at Goucher, Riggins also serves as an assistant coach at Mound de Sales Academy in Catonsville, Maryland.
