MADISON, N.J. – Goucher's Amber Smith (Baltimore, Md./Institute of Notre Dame), who averaged 14.3 points and 9.4 rebounds per game, is a second-team selection at forward on the 2008-09 All-Landmark Conference Women's Basketball Team, which was unveiled today.
The voting which determined the 12 players on the all-conference team was done by the Landmark's eight head coaches and seven of the eight member institutions placed at least one player on the team.
Smith was the leading rebounder in the Landmark Conference this season and also ranked third in scoring, fourth in steals (2.63 per game) and fifth in blocked shots (1.00 per game). She started all 24 games and tallied at least 10 points in all but three of them.
