MADISON, N.J. – Leia Roberts-Brown (Capitol Heights, Md./Archbishop Carroll), who contributed a career-high 29 points to Goucher's 74-70 triumph over Hood on Saturday, today was named Women's Basketball Player of the Week in the Landmark Conference for December 15-21.
The sophmore guard had never scored more than 15 points in a game since arriving at Goucher until she went off against the Blazers. She was 10-for-17 from the field, including a perfect 4-for-4 from three-point range, and 5-of-6 at the free-throw line.
Selections for Player of the Week are made by the conference office based on nominations from the sports information directors at the eight member institutions.
