Eagles Pin 10-Point Setback on Smith, Gophers
HUNTINGDON, Pa. — Amber Smith (Baltimore, Md./Institute of Notre Dame), who went into the game needing 23 points to become the ninth player in the history of Goucher's women's basketball program to reach 1,000 points during her career, made three free throws in the opening 3:23 this evening to provide the Gophers with a 3-0 lead over Juniata.

Senior Forward at Doorstep of 1,000-Point Milestone
HUNTINGDON, Pa. — Amber Smith (Baltimore,
Md./Institute of Notre Dame), who went into the game
needing 23 points to become the ninth player in the history of
Goucher's women's basketball program to reach 1,000 points during
her career, made three free throws in the opening 3:23 this evening
to provide the Gophers with a 3-0 lead over Juniata.
The Gophers went up 5-0 on a basket by Elizabeth von Ende (Leawood, Kan./American Hebrew Academy), but that five-point advantage was wiped out when the Eagles answered with a three-point field goal by Paige Robertson and a pair of free throws from Ashton Bankos.
