Amber Smith (Baltimore, Md./Institute of Notre Dame) became the ninth player in the history of Goucher's women's basketball program to score 1,000 points in her career when she made a layup 7:23 into the first half of a Landmark Conference game in the Decker Sports & Recreation Center this evening against nationally ranked Scranton.

Goucher's women's basketball program to score 1,000 points in her
career when she made a layup 7:23 into the first half of a Landmark
Conference game in the Decker Sports & Recreation Center this
evening against nationally ranked Scranton.
The senior forward finished with eight points and a game-high nine rebounds, but the Gophers couldn't keep up with the Lady Royals, who opened up a 34-17 lead by halftime and then coasted to a 69-48 victory.
