Greyhounds Cruise After Jumping Out to Quick 11-0 Lead

With the win, the Greyhounds remained tied with Juniata for second place in the Landmark Conference, one game in back of Scranton.
Even though they missed their first four field-goal attempts, the Greyhounds (14-8, 9-2 Landmark) still made five shots, including a 3-pointer by Jennie Miller, before Precious Kollock (Baltimore, Md./Patapsco) converted a layup 4:05 into the contest to get the Gophers on the scoreboard.
The Gophers (2-18, 2-9 Landmark) were just 7-for-34 from the field (.206) in the opening 20 minutes.
Even though the Gophers scored 40 points in the second half by upping their shooting percentage to .474, the Greyhounds never allowed their lead to dip below 24 points.
Moravian's Amy Heffner led all scorers as she contributed 26 points to the victory.
Sharnell Huff (Bowie, Md./Bowie) supplied the Gophers with 14 points. The only other double-digit scorer for Goucher was Elizabeth von Ende (Leawood, Kan./American Hebrew Academy) with 10 points.
The Greyhounds dominated the board, pulling down 63 rebounds, including 29 on the offensive end. Taquasia Lambert (Brooklyn, N.Y./Patapsco) had eight of Goucher's 37 rebounds.
