Kollock Earns All-Bahamas Sunshine Shootout Honors

NASSAU, Bahamas — Goucher snapped a seven-game losing streak as Precious Kollock (Baltimore, Md./Patapsco) scored 14 points and Sharnell Huff (Bowie, Md./Bowie) added 11 in leading the Gophers past Milwaukee School of Engineering, 48-34, this afternoon in the final game for both teams at the Bahamas Sunshine Shootout.

After Elizabeth von Ende (Leawood, Kan./American Hebrew Academy) opened the scoring by knocking down a 3-point field goal on Goucher's second possession of the contest, the only time the Gophers (2-8) trailed is when Ali LoBue sank two free throws to provide the Raiders (6-4) with a 4-3 lead.

The two teams were separated by just four points at halftime and Goucher didn't open up its first double-digit advantage until Kollock converted a layup with 6:30 remaining that made the score 39-29 in favor of the Gophers.

Kollock, who was 7-for-10 from the field, was Goucher's lone representative on the all-tournament team. She also furnished the victorious Gophers with three rebounds and team-high totals of four assists and six steals today.

Kiara Doughty (Salisbury, Md./Wicomico) was the leading rebounder for Goucher with nine.
