Ezeani Earns Weekly Honor from Landamrk Conference

TOWSON, Md. — After averaging 17 points per contest in Goucher's three Landmark Conference victories, Amaka Ezeani (Silver Spring, Md./Paint Branch) today was named the conference's Women's Basketball Player of the Week for January 25-31.

The senior center contributed 15 points to a 62-61 triumph over Drew and 14 points to a 70-59 win over Juniata before achieving a double-double 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Gophers past the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, 54-44.

During the three games, she was 22-for-33 from the field (.667).

The double-double against the Mariners was her first of the season and fifth of her career, plus she also finished with a career-high seven blocked shots in that game.
