TOWSON, Md. - The Goucher College Women's Basketball team fell to McDaniel College, 87-44, Wednesday evening inside the Decker SRC Arena.
Junior Nicole Wolard (Tampa, Fla.) led the Gophers in scoring in the defeat, hitting 6-of-8 field goals and 7-of-8 free throws, totaling 19 points. She was one point away from tying her career game-high of 20, which she posted earlier in the season against Alvernia (Nov. 21).
Wolard also had a game-high free throw percentage at 87%, with four rebounds. She has now scored in double-figures in six of the eight games Goucher has played in on the year to date, as well.
Elsewhere, freshman Mya Lewis (Owings Mills, Md.) scored 10 points for Goucher, hitting a 3-pointer, 3-of-6 free throws, and three field goals. The Gophers were also 13-of-18 in free throws as a team on the evening.
The Goucher College women's basketball team stays within the Baltimore city limits in their next game on Saturday, as they take the short trip to Notre Dame (Md.), Saturday. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m.
