Women's Basketball Captures Second Win of the Season over Notre Dame (Md.)

TOWSON, Md. - On Tuesday night the Goucher College Gophers welcomed the Notre Dame (Md.) Gators for their second home game of the season. The Gophers came away from the contest with their second win of the season, defeating Notre Dame (Md.) 71-42.

In the same matchup last season, Goucher lost by 24 points. This win signals tremendous growth of the team as well as Coach Andrea Preston.

Freshmen Anise Williams (West Palm Beach, Fla.) and Alayna McFadden (Silver Spring, Md.) led the team in points, scoring 19 and 17 respectively. Williams went 6-9 from the field, including 4 successful three-pointers. McFadden put in one three, five field goals, and went 4-4 from the line. 

Senior Nicole Wolard (Tampa, Fla.) put up 11 points in the contest with 4-7 from the field and 3-4 from the line.

The Gophers will be back in action on Monday, November 25, as they travel to take on Trinity Washington at 7 PM.
