Women’s and Men’s Basketball Shelby Apostol and Josh Lichti Named Scholar-Athletes Of The Week

Each week in the fall, we will name two Scholar-Athletes of the Week for their excellent work in the classroom. The fourth-week features are women's basketball junior, Shelby Apostol (Oxnard, Calif. / Saint Bonaventure) and men's basketball sophomore, Josh Lichti (Harrisonburg, Va. / Harrisonburg)

Apostol, a business major, was recognized on the Landmark Academic Honor Roll in 2019-20. In her freshman campaign, she made her college debut against Hood on November 13 and later notched a career-high 27 points against Moravian on February 9. As a sophomore, Apostol started all 25 games and averaged 4.2 points per game. She posted a season-high 13 points against Hood on November 19.

Lichti, also a business major, possesses a 3.92 GPA after his freshman year. He made his Goucher debut on November 8, 2019. In that game, the Harrisonburg native recorded 11 points against Valley Forge. From then on, the guard started the remaining 24 games in the season. Lichti registered three 10+ point games during the 2019-2020 season. His career-high was against Christendom on November 19, when he scored 16 points.
