STAFFORD, Va. – Christina Pevey (Post, Texas/Post) finished eighth to lead the Goucher College women's golf team to a seventh-place standing at the Eagle Invitational on Sunday.
Pevey shot an 86 in the first round and an 84 in the second round to finish with a two-round score of 170 to place eighth and 15 strokes behind the medalist.
Emmie Starchvick (Jacksonville, Ore./South Medford) (17th place, 177), Danielle Pena (Montgomery, Texas/Montgomery) (31st place, 208), Lauren O'Leary (Potomac, Md./Academy of the Holy Cross) (33rd place, 213), Kiana Haskins (Waitdsfield, Vt./Harwood Union) (35th place, 226).
Marymount won the two-day event with a score of 681, six strokes ahead of Shenandoah (687) while Arcadia (746), Mary Washington (748) and Randolph Macon (753) rounded out the Top-5 teams. The Gophers finished seventh at a 370 in the first round and a 398 in the second round for a two-round total of 768.
Goucher returns to action at the Spartans Invitational on April 6.
