ST. MARY'S CITY, MD — Goucher's Emily Blatter (Lexington, VA/Rockbridge County) was selected Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week in the Capital Athletic Conference for Feb. 26-March 4, a conference official announced today.

Blatter (Lexington, VA/Rockbridge County) was selected
Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week in the Capital Athletic
Conference for Feb. 26-March 4, a conference official announced
today.
The junior attacker had a hand in 16 of the 29 goals the Gophers
scored in wins over Villa Julie, 14-13, and Guilford, 15-9. She was
awarded an assist on the game-winning goal by Sandy Okun
(Stevenson, MD/McDonogh School) with :59 remaining against
the Mustangs, capping a three-goal, five-assist performance. She
tallied five goals and picked up three assists in the Guilford
contest.
Blatter was one of six players nominated for the weekly honor.
She was also one of five players nominated for Division III Player
of the Week as recognized by the web site womenslacrosse.com. The
recipient of that award was Laura Williams from Dickinson.
