Lambert Scores Three Times in Regulation, Twice in Overtime
TOWSON, Md. — After being kept off the scoreboard during the

up with four goals — in a pair of three-minute overtime
periods in earning a 16-13 victory over Gwynedd-Mercy this
afternoon at Beldon Field.
The Griffins (4-5), who trailed 8-3 at the end of the first half, overcame a 12-9 deficit by scoring the final three goals of regulation, catching the Gophers at 12-12 on an unassisted goal by Bridget Gibson with just :57 showing on the clock.
Just :43 into overtime, the Gophers (5-6) regained the lead on an unassisted goal by Colleen Cole (Holliston, Mass./Northfield Mt. Hermon School). Goucher scored two more times in the first extra session — once off a free-poisition shot by Cindy Villarreal (Silver Spring, Md./Wheaton) and later when Villarreal set up a goal by Mary Lambert (Chapel Hill, N.C./Chapel Hill).
Lambert provided the Gophers with a four-goal advantage when she stuck her fifth goal of the contest midway through the second OT.
Cole contributed four goals to the victory, giving her a team-leading total of 35 for the season. She was also credited with an assist, six draw controls, four ground balls and five caused turnovers.
