Landmark Recognizes Smith for Five-Point Effort

TOWSON, Md. — The Landmark Conference selected Goucher's Sophie Smith (Lawrenceville, N.J./Madison) as its Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for February 16-22.

Today's announcement was made just two days after the Gophers opened their 2015 campaign with a convincing 13-2 triumph over Wesley on Beldon Field. Smith contributed five points to the non-conference victory, and all three of her goals and both of her assists came during an 11-0 run that spanned the first 25 minutes of the contest.

Smith was also credited with three ground balls and a caused turnover.
