Landmark's Weekly Honor Goes to Sophomore Attacker

TOWSON, Md. — Jessica Borucki (Westminster, Md./North Carroll), who contributed four goals and a pair of assists to Goucher's season-opening 15-6 victory over Wesley on Saturday, was selected today as the Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week in the Landmark Conference for February 15-21.

The sophomore attacker tallied one of the goals during a 7-0 run by the Gophers over the first 12:04 of the contest and her unassisted goal with :31 remaining provided head coach Ceri Miller's squad with a 9-2 advantage at halftime. In addition to scoring two times in the second half, she picked up assists on goals by Dani McCreary (Upper Marlboro, Md./Bishop McNamara) and Zoe Merz (Westminster, Md./Westminster).

Borucki, who was a second-team All-Landmark Conference selection as a freshman in 2015, also picked up two ground balls, controlled a draw and caused a turnover by the Wolverines.
