BALTIMORE, MD - The Goucher College Gophers (1-12 overall; 0-4 conference) hosted Juniata College (5-3-4 overall; 1-1-2 conference) on Saturday afternoon for their Mental Health Awareness game. A strong offensive showing from the Eagles powered them to a 3-0 victory.
Juniata applied early pressure, including a header that struck the crossbar before rebounding for a second attempt. Despite the flurry of chances, goalkeeper Nia George, did not record her first save of the match until the 16th minute.

In the closing minutes of the half, Goucher found some rhythm offensively with Abby Lee forcing the only save of the game for the Eagles keeper, while Jordan Wood added a late shot to close out the half.
Juinata extended its lead early in the second half, scoring their third and final goal within minutes of the half. Though the Eagles continued to press with ten shots in the half, the Gophers' defense held firm and prevented any further goals.
