Bio

Kelly Grant begins her second season as a graduate assistant coach at Goucher in 2014, helping Coach Korba with the day-to-day operations of the program. She joined the staff after three seasons at Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. During her time at CUA the program earned a spot in the Landmark Conference final in 2011 and the semifinals in 2012.

Along with coaching at CUA, Grant has been very involved with the US Youth Soccer Region 1 Olympic Development Program.  She is a staff coach for the U13 age group and has also served as an assistant coach in training at the ODP Regional Camp in Rhode Island. She has traveled with various age groups across the country and internationally as a coach and administrator. Some of which include the Player Development Camp, Boca Inter-Regional Event, and Sochi, Russia for the 2013 Kuban Spring Tournament.  She also had the privilege of working as a program administrator at the USSF U14 National Camp in Portland, Ore.

Grant came to CUA after completing a successful four-year playing career at Division I Stony Brook University.  She wore the Seawolves uniform from 2006 to 2009, appearing in 28 games as a defender and scoring three goals from her position on the backline.  Grant helped her team finish in second place and reach the America East Conference championship game during her junior season.  As a senior captain, she led SBU back to the America East Conference semifinals. Grant graduated from Stony Brook in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in health science and technology.

She is currently persuing a Master of Education degree with a concentration in athletic program leadership and administration from Goucher. Originally from Fairfax, Va., she now lives in Baltimore.
