Bio

Nathan Rauscher enters his second season with the Gophers in 2013, assisting in all aspects of training.  He has also become increasingly responsible for recruiting at elite regional and national tournaments.  Rauscher holds his advanced national and goalkeeping level II diplomas from the NSCAA.

After playing at Hamilton College in New York, Rauscher has gone on to coach high school and club soccer in the Baltimore area for the past nine years. He currently coaches in the Maryland State Olympic Development Program, and has served as head coach for the U17/18 Baltimore Bays Chelsea girls and Bays United boys teams. Rauscher also served as the Maryland Rush Director of Coaching for the boys, having previously worked with the club as a Super Y League coach for the U13 and U20 women’s teams.

In addition to his club soccer experiences, Rauscher led the Hammond High School girls program from 2009 through 2011, helping the team earn a NSCAA High School Team Academic Award and, in his final season, reach the regional semifinals.  He previously assisted the boys program at North Carroll High School.

Rauscher will complete his master’s degree in athletic program leadership and administration at Goucher this year.  He resides in Baltimore and teaches full time at Long Reach High School in Columbia.
