DEVELOPMENT:
Every fall Goucher faces a competitive schedule as a member of the Landmark Conference where postseason play within the conference and the NCAA Tournament are the goal. The off-season winter program includes speed and agility work, individual training, lifting, captains training sessions and maintaining a strong fitness base. The NCAA-allowable 5-week spring developmental season focus is on individual technical training and team tactical training with an emphasis on fitness. The program works throughout the year to build and develop leadership at all levels.
Training sessions are designed to build players at the individual level and, at the same time, create and develop team play. Small group work and shadow play allow us to further our tactical understanding, while individual and specific role play allows us to elevate our technical game.
