Landmark Honors Regopoulos as Week's Top Swimmer

TOWSON, Md. — Alexis Regopoulos (Fitchburg, Mass./North Middlesex Regional), who competed in three individual events for Goucher in Saturday's season-opening quadrangular meet and took first place in two of them, was named the Female Swimmer of the Week in the Landmark Conference today for October 19-25.

The sophomore was the first to complete the 500-yard freestyle, which she did in 5:25.89, and the 1000 free (11:12.93). She was the runner-up in the 200 free (2:06.24).

Her times in the two events in which she touched first are the fastest posted by a Landmark Conference swimmer so far in 2015-16.

Regopoulos placed second in both the 500 free and 1650 free at the 2015 Landmark Conference Women's Swimming & Diving Championships.
