SELINSGROVE, PA Goucher needed to win at least four of the singles matches in order to defeat Susquehanna this afternoon, so when the two teams ended up with three wins apiece in singles play, the Crusaders had themselves a 5-4 victory over the Gophers.

SELINSGROVE, PA — Goucher needed to win at least
four of the singles matches in order to defeat Susquehanna this
afternoon, so when the two teams ended up with three wins apiece in
singles play, the Crusaders had themselves a 5-4 victory over the
Gophers.
The only point the Gophers (2-4) picked up in doubles play was at
No. 3 where Dana Clark (Oxford, MI/Sacred Heart)
and Chloe Scott-Giry (Amagansett, NY/Ross School)
were 8-2 winners over Allison Handman and Lindsey Moll.
Carly Heinz (Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch
Plains-Fanwood) of the Gophers prevailed at No. 1 singles,
beating Brittany Reiman 6-3, 6-7 (5), (10-7). Also winning for
Goucher in singles play were Clark at No. 5 and Christina
Grimm (Greenwich, CT/New Hampton) at No. 6.
The Crusaders (5-4) captured the remaining three singles matches in
straight sets.
