MADISON, N.J. - Goucher produced the Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week and the Women's Tennis Player of the Week for March 10-16, according to a release issued by conference officials today.
Kate Knitter (Sellersville, PA/Pennridge) was selected Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week based on her performance in the Gophers' 18-17 loss to Notre Dame (Md.). The senior midfielder had a hand in nine of Goucher's goals, scoring seven times and picking up a pair of assists. She also scooped up three ground balls and controlled two draws.
Christina Grimm (Greenwich, CT/New Hampton) earned Women's Tennis Player of the Week honors. She went 2-0 at No. 3 singles and was part of the Gophers' only doubles win in a match against Wesley. She defeated Kori Isken from Wesley 6-2, 6-1, and Carly Mora from Drew 6-0, 6-1; she and Chloe Scott-Giry (Amagansett, NY/The Ross School) posted an 8-0 victory over Holly Crittenden and Nicole Mambey from Wesley at third doubles.
