Sophomore Picks Up Two Wins, Improves to 11-6 in Singles Play

MADISON, N.J. - Goucher's Carly Heinz (Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood), who went 2-0 at No. 2 singles, today was named the Landmark Conference's Women's Tennis Player of the Week for April April 13-19.
Heinz secured the Gophers' only point in an 8-1 loss to Dickinson with her 6-4, 7-5 triumph over Joelle Nitzberg and also defeated Katie Zimmerman from Susquehanna, 6-4, 6-4.
With the two wins, the sophomore's record at second singles this season stands at 8-3 and, overall, she is 11-6 in singles play.
