Lee Gains 10th Win in 8-1 Loss to Greyhounds

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Freshman Meaghan Lee (Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill) became the first Goucher player to win 10 matches in singles play this season, but her victory at No. 3 was the only one the Gophers managed today in a Landmark Conference match against Moravian. The Greyhounds prevailed 8-1.
Lee improved to 4-0 at No. 3 and 10-3 overall in singles competition for Goucher (7-7, 0-4 Landmark) by coming back from being down a set to defeat Moravian's Kerry McKinley 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (7).
At first singles, Jami Fein of the Greyhounds was a 6-3, 6-3 winner over Joan Pulupa (Gaithersburg, Md./Richard Montgomery). At No. 2, Chelsea Ott recorded a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Mara Bergman (Summit, N.J./Summit).
The Greyhounds (10-4, 4-1 Landmark) captured all three doubles matches. At No. 1, Fein and McKinley turned back Lee and Pulupa, 8-5.
