Landmark's Weekly Honor Goes to Goucher's Lin

Seven-Match Winning Streak in Singles Play for Sophomore
TOWSON, Md. — Ariel Lin (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central), who has played exclusively at No. 1 in Goucher's singles line-up in 2012-13, today was named Women's Tennis Player of the Week in the Landmark Conference for April 8-14.
In a match against Catholic on April 10 where sole possession of first place in the Landmark standings was riding on the outcome, Lin earned one point for the Gophers with her 6-2, 4-6, 1-0 (12-10) victory over Margie Selinger at first singles. By extending her winning streak at the position to seven matches, the sophomore raised her record in singles play this season to 12-3.
Lin and Meaghan Lee (Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill) led off for Goucher at first doubles, pinning an 8-5 setback on Selinger and Elizabeth Harvey. Lin and Lee have been partners in 13 doubles matches this season and have 11 wins to show for their efforts.
