Goldstein-Plesser Earns Weekly Honor from Landmark

TOWSON, Md. — Alice Goldstein-Plesser (Durham, N.C./Durham School of the Arts), a winner at No. 1 singles for Goucher in the September 30 match against Penn St.-Harrisburg, was selected Women's Tennis Player of the Week in the Landmark Conference today for the seven-day period which ended Sunday.

In the only match the Gophers played during the week, Goldstein-Plesser recorded a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Nandita Munindra. The junior is 2-2 in singles play so far this season.

Goldstein-Plesser was also part of one of the two wins the Gophers achieved against the Lions during the doubles competition. She and Kirsten Cianci (Bolton, Conn./Bolton) defeated Munindra and Jessica Miller, 8-3.

Goucher evened its 2015-16 record at 1-1 by pinning a 5-2 setback on Penn St.-Harrisburg.
