Gophers Win Only at No. 5 Singles in 8-1 Setback

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Goucher picked up its only point at No. 5 singles today in the team's final Spring Break match, an 8-1 loss to Wooster at Star Island.
- Mackenzie Donohue (Bronx, N.Y./Frank McCourt) picked up her third win of the season in singles play with her 6-3, 6-7 (3), 1-0 (7) victory over Wooster's Anne-Sophie Haanen.
- The Fighting Scots (3-6) won the remaining five singles matches in straight sets.
- Donohue and Haanen met again at No. 2 doubles. Haanen and her partner, Morgan Wagers, recorded an 8-4 win over Miranda Egan-Brooks (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bard High School Early College) and Donohue.
Once they return home, the Gophers (3-4) will begin preparing for their next match, which is against Bryn Mawr on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
