Egan-Brooks Wins First Single Match of Young Career

BRYN MAWR, Pa. — Goucher suffered an 8-1 setback against Bryn Mawr this afternoon.

• Freshman Miranda Egan-Brooks (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bard High School Early College) earned her first career victory with a 6-4, 6-1 triumph over Tirsa Delate at No. 4 singles for the Gophers (3-5).

• At No. 1 singles, Kirsten Cianci (Bolton, Conn./Bolton) fell to Melina Koukoutchos in a tight match 7-5, 2-6, 1-0 (10-5).

• The Owls (3-3) earned straight-set wins in four of the six singles matches while sweeping doubles play.

Goucher opens up Landmark Conference play at home on Saturday against Susquehanna. The match is set to begin at 1 p.m.
